Shri. Kamlesh Soni today took charge as the Chief General Manager, NTPC Gadarwara with effect from 3rd October,2022.

A B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Jodhpur University, and a MBA in Power System from TERI Shri Soni has a rich and varied experience in handling key portfolios at NTPC Badarpur, Ramagundam, Jhajjar, Sipat, Meja, Unchahar and WR1-HQs.

He had joined NTPC as an Executive Trainee in the year 1987 and served in various areas which includes Operation and Maintenance, MTP and Operation Services of power plant.

Prior to joining NTPC Gadarwara, Shri. Kamlesh Soni was the CGM (OS) at WR1-HQ, and before that the HOP at NTPC Unchahar. As head of the power station will coordinate all activities of NTPC Gadarwara Super Thermal Power station, generating 1600 MW (2×800 MW).

In his illustrious career in NTPC, Shri. Soni has undergone various trainings on safety, power plant efficiency, O&M practices, human resources, CSR, business excellence and commercial aspects of NTPC.
